Understanding PCOD / PCOS

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) — also called PCOD in India — is a hormonal disorder affecting the ovaries and the body's ability to regulate insulin, androgens, and menstrual cycles. It's the most common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age.

Despite how widespread it is, PCOS is frequently mismanaged. Many women are given oral contraceptives to "regulate" periods without anyone addressing the underlying insulin resistance, inflammation, or lifestyle factors driving the condition. Our approach is different.

Symptoms we address: Irregular or absent periods, heavy bleeding, weight gain (especially around the abdomen), persistent acne, excessive facial or body hair, thinning scalp hair, darkened skin patches, difficulty conceiving, mood swings, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and sleep disturbances.

Our Integrative PCOS Program

We combine multiple evidence-based approaches into one coordinated program, working alongside your gynaecologist — not replacing them.

Therapeutic Exercise

Structured movement targeting insulin resistance — resistance training, adapted HIIT, and restorative movement for stress reduction.

PCOS Nutrition Therapy

Personalised Indian diet plans for insulin sensitivity — low-glycaemic, anti-inflammatory, with inositol and omega-3 focus.

Acupuncture

Improves ovarian blood flow, helps regulate cycles, reduces androgens, and supports IVF outcomes. By certified practitioners.

Weight Management

Even 5–10% weight reduction can restore ovulation. Sustainable approach: exercise, nutrition, and behavioural support.

Stress Reduction

Cortisol worsens both insulin resistance and androgen levels. Breathwork, mindfulness, and relaxation target the stress-PCOS loop directly.

Ongoing Monitoring

Regular tracking of cycle regularity, weight, energy, skin and hair changes. Plan adjusted every 4–6 weeks.

Acupuncture improves ovarian blood flow, helps regulate cycles, reduces androgen levels, improves insulin sensitivity, and lowers cortisol. Studies show improved ovulation rates and better IVF outcomes when included in a PCOS management program.

Energy and mood often improve within 4–6 weeks. Cycle regulation typically takes 2–3 months. Hormonal and weight changes develop progressively over 3–6 months with consistent follow-through.

Yes. The complete program is available online via Google Meet — nutrition, exercise therapy, breathwork, and coaching. Particularly useful for NRI women and those outside Hyderabad.
